Obituary of William H. Bowman (1940-2020)

William Henry Bowman III, DDS. was born in Chicago, Illinois to Dr. William H. Bowman II and Anna Morgan Bowman.  He had an older sister, Yvonne Bowman Hines and her husband, Gerald Hines. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister and brother-in-law.  He is the father of Will Bowman IV, Avriane Bowman Dean, her husband, Mark Dean Senior and grandfather to Mark Antonio Dean and Cortney Diego Dean. Dr. Bowman will also be missed by his two nieces Anna Ruth and Gwendolyn Hines and their children. Dr. Bill, as he was called, was quite fond of his numerous cousins: the Morgan, Eaton, Hines and Wysch relatives.  Dr. Bowman graduated from Howard University Undergrad and Dental Schools.  He was inducted in Kappa Alpha Psi while attending Howard University.  A member of ROTC, upon graduating from Dental School, he served in Korea as an Army Captain and was later stationed at Fitzsimmons Army Base.  While practicing dentistry in Denver he earned his Masters Degree in Public Health.  Dr. Bowman greatly enjoyed attending his grandsons’ sports games and he loved playing chess and working cross word puzzles.  Dr. Bowman was most proud of being a deacon in his church.  May he rest in eternal peace.
