William Doty, Sr.

William L. Doty, Sr., 85, of Denver, passed away on March 14, 2022.

There will be a service with military honors for William on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11am at Fort Logan National Cemetery (Staging Area A), 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.

William is survived by his sister, Florence June Chavez, 93, of Washington; sons and daughters, William Doty, Jr., Tami Busch (Dennis), Renee Waltemeyer (Adam), Debra Stevens (John), Christopher Greenwald (Leslie); grandchildren, William L. Doty III, Shawna Doty (Tony), Joseph Nicholl, Jeffrey Nicholl (Kelli), Heather Goss (Tim), Brooke Carnell (Kevin), Bryce Greenwald (Aaron) and Maddison Greenwald (Ryan); many great-grandchildren and a very dear friend he considered a son, Cristofer Muhler (Enola) and Cristofer’s son, Jaxon.

And never to be forgotten for the love of racing, friendship, support, and care throughout the years. A special thank you to his Racing Family. Forever 95/OFR!

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Doty and sisters, Bernice, Lucille and Eileen.
