William ( Bill ) Berg

William (Bill) Berg passed away on Saturday, February 13th.

He was born in Washington DC and raised in Duluth, Minnesota and Hayward, Wisconsin.

Bill has been a Colorado resident since 1955 in addition to spending winters in Naples, Florida since 1995.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nancy.

Bill and Nancy were married August 29th, 1953 and have one daughter Kimberly Ann Berg Massey.

Kim resides in Cottonwood Heights, Utah with her husband Jim.  Bill’s granddaughter, Kaitlyn is an employee of Charles Schwab in Bellevue, Washington and his grandson Robert is a graduate student at the University of Colorado.

Bill was a graduate of the University of Minnesota in Duluth. His professional career as a Chief Financial Officer in Colorado included Schwayder Brothers (Samsonite), Aspen Skiwear, and Mastercraft Industries (Whirlpool Kitchens).  Bill was a member of various civic and professional organizations, including FEI (Financial Executives Institute).  He was also a member of Valley Country Club.

Bill served in the United States Marine Corps with the 1st Marine Division in Korea.  He was a lifetime member of the 1st Marine Division Association and Able Company, 1st Marines Korea.

A funeral Mass will be held at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3060 South Monaco Parkway in Denver at 2:00pm on Friday, February 26th.

Bill will be entombed at Fort Logan National Cemetery in a private ceremony with honors.
