A. Arthur Maes, 82, passed away on October 29, 2020. He was born to Lorencita Vigil and Doroteo Maes on January 8, 1938 in Bueyeros, NM. He is survived by his children Jerry (Joy) Maes, Scott (Linda) Maes, Sharon (Greg) Krieger, Kimberly (Gary) White, and Brian “BJ” Maes; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his siblings Dale Maes, Veronica (James) Spear, Joseph (Darlene) Maes, and Phillip (Rebecca) Maes; his brother-in-laws Jim (Rachel) Vigil and Randy (Ginger) Vigil; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy Mae Maes (nee Vigil); his parents; sister Juanita Vigil; sister-in-law Francis Maes; great-grandsons Gary White IV and Grayson James Tornow; and son-in-law Tony Black.

There will be a Visitation on Friday, November 13 from 3pm to 5:30pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Thornton, CO. Due to the current health concerns the capacity is limited to 50 people. Thank you for helping us meet these guidelines and for wearing a mask. You are invited to recite the rosary with the family beginning at 6:00pm. Access to this will be available on this webpage.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11:00am. Due to the current health concerns, numbers will also be limited for this service. The family invites you to join the service electronically. The access to view the service will be available on this webpage the day of the service. (The Passcode is 1234) Thank you for your support and understanding.

Arthur will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
