A. Richard Thurman

Richard Thurman of Lakewood, CO, passed away May 25, 2004. He was born in Scottsbluff, NE on July 24, 1934. He served in multiple branches of the United States Armed Services and was honorably discharged. Rick retired from the Jefferson County Sheriffs' Office after 35 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley; a daughter, Dannielle (Michael) Rosenthal of Littleton, CO; grandsons, Corey and Cody. Also survived by four brothers, Robert of Denver, CO, Donald of Loveland, CO, Ed of Bremerton, WA, Frank of Alta Vista, KS and three sisters, Alona Rae Amos of Thornton, CO Judy McCalib of Denver, CO, JoAnn Stone of Council Grove, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service, Tuesday 1pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO. Interment to follow, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO, Staging Area 'C' at 2:30pm.
