How often do we all find ourselves sitting in a family, social, or personal setting and feeling like something is missing? Whether it is the unfortunate pangs of hunger, desiring a nice glass of wine, or simply longing for a moment of companionship, you realize you’re hoping for something to make the day a little better. If you were lucky enough to know him, at that very moment, two nimble hands would deliver you a plate and a glass, presented just for you, with things you never would have imagined paired together. When you looked up, checking the watch, continuing up the arms to the shoulders of a blazer, pocket square, and tie you had never seen put together, you’d see a big smile, a knowing look though sky blue eyes, and the immediate feeling of home. There in that instant - you had the luxury and heartfelt service of being in the loving hands of Aaron Joseph Forman.
He was a beloved and admired son, brother, friend, and community member. His father Thomas taught him at a young age to love literature and to expand his ideas and thoughts through conversation, relationships, and finding commonalities. His mother taught him that family and friends can be the same, if your heart is open. Connections are what bring us together, and being at the table makes us family - he set it and fed us.
We have all lost a part of living life to the fullest - when Aaron did anything, he did it to that point and beyond. He raced the Iditarod, making sure that his dogs ate and worked together. He traveled, loved Milan, and turned heads through every door he entered. He was a part of a young, ambitious, hard-working team of entrepreneurs that came from Jackson Hole and elevated fine dining in what was the “cow town” known as Denver. His legacy continues at Table 6 and Proximus.
Surviving him are his mother Teresa, sister Barbara (nee Forman), brother Colin, sister-in-law Rachel, brother-in-law Marcus, and the little gems in his unique and eternal collection: nephew Louis, niece and goddaughter Geneva, niece Zen and nephew Maverick.
As a leader in his community, Aaron left a legacy, through not only the businesses and relationships he built, but especially through his families, the one he was born into and the ones he helped create. Though we have all lost a unique and amazing individual, we are a stronger community and family because Aaron Forman brought us all together.
Donations made here will continue Aaron's legacy of compassion and generosity by supporting the many struggling individuals and families in Colorado.
