Acolina Maria Cavaleri Sheehan

Acolina Maria (Cavaleri) Sheehan, daughter of Mike and Carmela Cavaleri of Denver Colorado, surrounded by family and friends, passed away January 25th 2012 of natural causes. She (Mrs Sheehan) was born in Denver on May 29th 1923. She married Carl Edward Sheehan in July of 1945 and remained so until his passing in 1968. They had nine children and she is survived by eight of them, her son Edward passed in 1971. After over four decades they are reunited in heaven to spend eternity together. Acolina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to not only her family members but many of their close friends as well. Most people called her ""Ma"" or ""Gram"" whether they were related to her or not, that is how everyone viewed her because she was so loving and everyone loved her. She was well known for being an amazing cook. She would often tell the story about how she showed her Hispanic girlfriends in North Denver how to make spaghetti sauce and they taught her how to make green chile, which everyone knows she was famous for both. Almost as famous as she was for her one of a kind peanut butter fudge that only she could make perfectly! Many have tried, but no one could make it like Gram! She was survived by her sister Catherine and her brother Joseph. Her children Catherine, Patrick, Michael, Bridget, Karen, Maureen, Kevin and Brian. Her grandchildren Kim, Karen, Nick, Charles, Carl, Danny, Anthony, Rocco, Brittany, Katie, Renee, Brian, Kevin, and Kelsie. Her Great Grandchildren Vincent, JoAnna, Carl, Jackson, Dominic, Jordan, Colleen, Brendan, Angelo, Luciano, Mia, Brodi, Anessa and very soon Maxwell. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00pm, Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver, CO 80211.
