It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adam "Barty" Chavez on December 11, 2024 at the age of 60. Born on February 11, 1964, Adam was a devoted husband, dedicated brother, uncle, and cherished friend to all who knew him.
Adam graduated from North High School and continued his education in a 5-year apprenticeship program becoming a Pipefitter/Welder with the Local 208 Pipefitters Union and finishing his career as the Training Director of the Pipefitters training program.
Adam leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years, Denise, and his two fur babies Andre and Sammy. He was the youngest of eight children and is survived by: Conrad Chavez, Teresa Sandoval, Bobby Chavez, Margie Chavez-Grider, Jamie (Angelo) Ortiz, Andrea Chavez, and Vincent Chavez; as well as 13 nieces and nephews; a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ida Chavez and two nephews Angelo Jr. and Rudy Ortiz.
Adam's legacy for always lending a helping hand to others and never wanting to be paid in return, would always respond with his bright smile "Just pay it forward". He had a passion for restoring vintage trucks and traveling on his motorcycle. His love and dedication to his friends and family will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003, Friday, December 27th at 11:00 AM with a reception following at the VFW post 7945, 10217 Quivas St., Thornton, CO 80260.
