Aileen F. Corbisiero passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024 at the age of 92 years old.
Born on July 23, 1932 in Tampa Kansas, Aileen was known for her passionate homemaking talents, dedication as an Air Force spouse, and love for her family. Aileen will be remembered by many as a wonderful, fun and positive person, who had a passion for dancing. Her personal favorite place was the beach and she enjoyed helping her Catholic Church community as an organist, Eucharistic Minister and volunteer. She was a fashionista, traveled extensively and was an avid Spurs fan. Aileen graduated from Sacred Heart College in Wichita, KA, after which she joined the Air Force. While in the military, she met her husband, John. They married on Oct 22, 1955 in Tampa, KS. Being in the military, Aileen and John lived in many places-- Del Rio, TX, West Point, NY, Toul Rosieres, France, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Tucson, AZ, Victorville, CA, Dayton, OH, Bedford, MA, Asheville, NC, and finally, after John’s retirement, they came full circle and settled in San Antonio, TX. After the passing of her husband, John, Aileen moved to Littleton, CO to be close to family.
Aileen is survived by her children, Teresa of Littleton, CO, John Michael (Vicki) of Carbondale, CO, Marie Holt (Worthe) of Fishers, IN, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Aileen was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John, in 2020. She is also preceded in death by her parents, James and Louvenia (Nellie) Moffitt, in addition, her sisters, Corinne, Barbara and Mildred and her brothers, John and Jim. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen, her brothers, Tom (Ronda) and Frank (Jan), sister in law, Glenda, and loving cousin Marlene Yaw.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Thomas More Church on Tuesday, November 26, at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place after Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, where she will be placed next to her husband, John.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans.
She will continue to speak to us in our thoughts and give us love in our hearts.
