Aileen Lucille Johnson

Aileen Lucille Johnson, 93, passed away July 9th, 2023, in Castle Rock, Colorado. Aileen was born June 20, 1930 to Edward and Sarah Lamping.

She married Charles Johnson.  Aileen and Charles met in September of 1946 in Shawnee, CO. They were married on December 15th 1947 at Charles' mother's home where they resided for about a year and had Renae Massey.  After residing at Charles' mother's home they moved to Park County, CO on Long Meadow Ranch at Shawnee CO and had Colleen Larsen, Carl Johnson, and Casi Doherty. In 1964 they moved to Lakewood CO and she went to work at AT&T as a key punch operator. She retired from AT&T after 25 years as a purchasing agent and received an award for saving the company money. In 1974 they moved to Sedalia CO and resided in Douglas county 49 years. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She also adopted Alina Shagaeva, who took care of her and lived with Alina's family together in the same home after Charles died.

Aileen was preceded in death by her husband Charles who passed on September 2nd 2020 and her son Carl who passed on March 30th 2012. Aileen had a smile on her face every morning, greeting everyone she knew with a good morning. She exchanged the stories of her life at the dinner table, sharing her happiness with the rest of the family. Her care for the family has not changed over the years, and it grew every day. Her pure heart and love for those around her always reminded family and friends of how much she loved and cared. In the hearts and minds of all who loved her, she will be cherished and missed.
