Alan Eugene Amen

Alan E. Amen, age 78, of Lakewood passed away September 1, 2011. Survived by children Thomas (Karen) Amen, Douglas (Mary) Amen and Deanna (Robert) Ostertag; grandchildren Cody, Hunter, Carly Jo, Caley Jo, Brooke and Morgan; siblings Betty (Ray) Schlueter, Charles E. Amen and Jeanne Crouch. Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Delores and parents Jacob R. & Mary Amen. For 45 years, Alan was a Soil Scientist with the Dept. of Agriculture and the Dept. of the Interior. He retired as Senior Soil Scientist Emeritus. Visitation, Thurs., 3-7 PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth, Lakewood. Funeral Service, Fri., 10 AM, Concordia Lutheran Church, 13371 West Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood with burial following at Crown Hill Cemetery.
