Alex Kaidan, 34, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022.
Alex was born on August 25, 1988, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned his private pilot’s license at age 17. Alex graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2012 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While in college, Alex had internships that included working at NASA and Roush Racing. After college he lived in Columbus, Ohio and Denver, Colorado. He was heavily involved in the STEM fields with a focus on mechanical engineering and software development until his passing. Alex’s passion for engineering extended into unique cars and automotive projects. Alex was a loved and celebrated member of the furry community and would regularly volunteer as staff for Midwest Furfest.
He is survived by his spouse Vincent Salas, father Mark Kaidan, Mother Lisa Johnson and stepfather Frank Johnson, half-brother Mardy Kaidan, step-sister Stephanie Harrigan (Geoffrey), step-brothers Ross Johnson (Lyndsay), Brent Johnson (Eileen), 9 step-nieces and nephews: Drew, Ryenn, Jack, Mae, Kai, Conor, Owen, Ella and Aspen. Grandmother Eileen Brooks and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jake Kaidan and Grandfather Duane Boyer.
Viewing will be held at Noon on September 4, 2022, followed by a service at 1:00 pm and a reception from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014. Relatives and friends are welcome to join during the time of viewing, service, and reception.
