Alexander Martin Biamonte was born in Denver, Colorado, February 20, 1912 and passed away at Cedars Health Care Center in Lakewood, Colorado on October 7, 2009. He was 97. Alex was a lifetime resident of Denver, except for 8 years during his childhood when his family lived in Italy. He was educated at Mount Carmel Catholic School and the Emily Griffith Opportunity School where he studied for his Stationary Engineers license and his electric and plumbing licenses. Alexander was married to Florence Piccone on April 15, 1934 at Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She preceded him in death 12 years ago. He was a member of Sons of Italy. During his life, he worked as a jeweler, primarily making sterling silver jewelry. He also worked at American Beauty Macaroni Factory, Liquid Carbonic Manufacturing Company and for Denver Dry Goods. Alex also did house remodeling and repaired his cars. He is survived by his children, Alex M. Biamonte, Jr. of Denver, Barbara Deard, Arvada, Martha Collins, Bend, Oregon, Florence Stemple, Westminster, Irene Shively, Broomfield and Ann Biamonte of Denver. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, 6PM '"" 8PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Blvd. The Rosary will be recited Monday 7PM, also at the Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, 10:30 AM at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 3549 Navajo Street. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
