Alfred Gary Fahlstedt, 72, of Highlands Ranch, passed from this life into the arms of our Lord on October 19, 2022 while snorkeling on the beautiful island of St. John, USVI.
He served as an officer in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, obtaining his master’s degree during those years and then obtained his law degree. He served in the Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service for more than 25 years, working in the Office of the General Counsel Region 8 as an attorney for the Indian Health Service until his complete retirement in 2000 with a rank of O-6. He was a longtime member of South Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Kate, sons Joshua Fahlstedt and William Fahlstedt and daughter Annelise Robinson; granddaughters Jasmine Fahlstedt and Lucy Robinson, grandsons Gabriel Fahlstedt, Luke Fahlstedt, Asher Fahlstedt, Logan Robinson and Ledger Robinson; sisters Jill Hopkins, Karen Kelly, Gale Coxey and brothers Richard Fahlstedt and Timothy Fahlstedt; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a funeral service at Horan & McConaty, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial 80122 on November 21 at 11 am, followed by light refreshments and a procession to Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
