Alfred L. Murphy

Alfred Murphy, 94, passed away on Thanksgiving Day. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Pat (and Ted) Clark, Carol Statkus, Ann (and Steve) Scully and John (and Danielle) Murphy, his grandchildren Julie, Becky, Megan, Ryan, Sara, Michael, Christopher and Joe, and his great-grandchildren, Maddy, Parker, Lily, Kaelie and Logan. He is survived by his sister, Maxine Hansen. Alfred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby, his parents, Mary (Roth) and James L. Murphy, and by his brothers, Bernard, Egbert, and Lawrence, and his sisters Etta, Alma, and Afton. Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion IL. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. December 3, at St. Francis De Sales Church in Stonefort, followed by interment at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery in New Burnside.
