Alice Brachle

June 19, 1924 — November 28, 2020

Alice was born in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Eunice Brisnehan.

She grew up in North Denver in the Berkley Park neighborhood and attended grade school and high school at Holy Family Catholic Church. In her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life Dave Brachle.

After graduation Alice started her first job at the Denver Catholic Register. She was engaged to Dave who had enlisted in the Navy. Once he completed basic training he returned to Denver on leave and Dave and Alice were married on June1, 1943 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Alice accompanied Dave to the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia, where they lived during the war. In 1945 they returned to Denver and purchased some land in Wheat Ridge where they built their home and began a family.

They raised 4 sons; Ron born in 1945, Paul 1949, Jerry 1953 and Fred 1956.

In the early 196o's Alice became a member of the Rosary Guild at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Over the following 40 years she made several thousand rosaries for the Catholic Missions all over the world.

Once the boys were raised, Alice went to work for the Jefferson County Public Schools in the Food Services Department where she prepared lunches for staff and children at several grade schools in Wheat Ridge and Arvada. Alice retired from Jefferson County when Dave retired from the Post Office and they began years of traveling, fishing, boating, and camping with many visits to children and grandchildren.

Alice is survived by her brother Ray and wife Linda Brisnehan of Houston, Texas, her sister Loretta Dunlap of Littleton, Colorado, her brother Jim and wife Kathy Brisnehan of Arvada, Colorado, her son Paul and wife Candy Brachle of Fort Collins, Colorado, 9 grandchildren and 18 great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, her parents Charles and Eunice Brisnehan, her sister Mary Coursey, her sons Ronald, Jerry, and Fred, and by grand-daughter Jennifer Tibbs.
