CRNKOVICH, ALICE ""MARIE"" 85, of Denver, died April 5, 2010. Marie was born in Longmont, Colorado, to Fred T. and Gladys Stafford. She was raised in the Niwot-Longmont area and graduated from Longmont High School in 1942. On June 23, 1946, she married Fred Crnkovich; they moved to Denver in 1951. Marie held several bookkeeping positions and retired from United Bank of Denver. She enjoyed cooking and entering cooking contests, gardening, and traveling to all 50 states and 15 foreign countries. Marie was a member of the Niwot Historical Society and an active 40-year member of Mountain View Community Church, where her activities included teaching Sunday school and participating in the Bethel Series program and the Martha Circle. In recent years, she served as a loving, compassionate caretaker to several family members. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Fred; a daughter, Michele; her parents and two sisters (Katherine Conilogue and Doris Applegate). She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Parks; a grandson, Brian Hassett (for whom Marie also served as a guardian); a granddaughter, Kelly Parks; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Carlos, Jr.; two sisters, Peggy Garrett of Longmont and Jeanie Glanz of Johnstown; four brothers, Charles (Josephine) Stafford of Broomfield, Fred R. (Doll) Stafford of Groton, Conn., Stanley Stafford of Loveland, and Dennis (Betsey) Stafford of San Pedro, Calif.; and numerous nieces & nephews. The family suggests contributions in Marie's memory to a charity of one's choice. Visitation today, 5 to 7 pm, Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral services, April 12, 11 am, at Mt.
