Alton Maynard ""Yogi"" Barner

Alton Maynard Barner was born in Portage, Wisconsin on June 7, 1933 to Arthur E. Barner and Elizabeth M. (Jansson) Barner, and passed away in Wheat Ridge, Colorado March 27, 2017 at age 83. Alton is survived by his wife Marjorie D. (Garver) Barner, his children, Judy Gunther and her husband Dennis, Curt Barner and his wife Donna, and Philip Barner and his wife Angella. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott Gunther, Laura Gunther, Danielle Knutson, Kammi Debes, A.J. Barner, Philip Barner, and Drew Barner, and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Knutson, Kenny Knutson, Jake Debes, Theo Debes, Isabelle Stout, Nikki Stout, Paul Robledo, Oscar Grafweg, and Josephine Grafweg. Alton was preceded in death by his father and mother, Arthur and Elizabeth Barner, his son Richard Charles Barner, granddaughter Jennifer Robledo, and his sister Joy Barner. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 Friday, March 31, 2017 at Highland Baptist Church, 9185 Utica Street in Westminster.
