Our Brother Alvin P. Klejnot was born of immigrant parents from Lithuania on January 30th 1927 in Fort Wayne Indiana. He was one of three children, Sister Hattie and Brother Chester. Hattie still lives in Fort Wayne and Chester died earlier. Alvin attended Catholic schools until the eight grade and one year of high school at Central High. He started his career at International Harvester as a mail clerk. This is where he met Florence and they were married in May of 1945. They moved to Denver in April of 1948 and spent the rest of their lives in Colorado. Here he learned the heating and plumbing trade and later started his own business. Alvin was very creative and gifted at the design of Hot Water heating systems, everything had to be perfect, the photos of his jobs reveal an artisan of copper and iron. In his spare time Alvin built four homes in Roland Valley near Bailey. He made many lasting friends, and was always willing to lend a hand, or supply items needed to finish a job. His barn was fondly referred to by neighbors as ""Al's Hardware"". Alvin was lost after Florence's' death and his health began to fail. The day after Thanksgiving he had an automobile accident, and was in and out of the hospital for six weeks until his death January 6, 2010. He is survived by his sister Hattie, and the Guenthner family. Graveside Service Thursday, 12:00 Noon, Horn Cemetery, Bailey, Colorado. Memorial Service Thursday, 1:00 P.M.
