Ana Kristic-Popara

Ana Kristic-Popara, 54 years of age, of Aurora, Colorado, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Denver, Colorado after complications from a battle with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer.

Born in Vares, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a small town close to Sarajevo, she was the sixth of seven children of Tadija Kristic and Andjelka Madjar. Ana lived and worked in Vares where she married Jovo Popara in 1989. Ana and Jovo moved to Denver in September of 1994. She was preceded in death by her sisters Katarina Dzeba in 2010 and Ljerka Kristic in 1952, and her brother Andrija Kristic in 1995. She is survived by her husband Jovo, and her two daughters Romana and Rebecca, all who live in Denver. She is also survived by parents, her sisters, Sidonija Mrljic and Edita Gudat, and brother Ivan Kristic, as well as many nieces and nephews..

A Rosary & Memorial Service for Ana will be held at 6:30pm, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Rd), Aurora, Colorado, 80014.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 3310 South Sherman Street, Englewood, Colorado, 80113.

Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at St. Simeon Catholic Cemetery, 22001 East State Highway 30, Aurora, Colorado 80018.

Following the burial at the cemetery, a Reception will be held at the HeartLight Center, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (at Parker Rd), Aurora, Colorado 80014
