Andrea “Andi” Navarro was born on January 1, 1954 to Sam Navarro and Rosalie Marquez.
She joined her big sister in a new house in the new development of Thornton. She attended Holy Cross Elementary school and Marycrest High School. During these formative years she made lifelong friends. Many of them remained very close to this day.
Andi worked from the time she was 16 years old until semi-retirement in 2021. She worked in accounting for most of her career. Most recently she worked as a teacher for a local day care. Babies and toddlers brought her complete joy.
Music was a passion she received from her parents. She loved attending concerts in an arena or park. Boy, could she pack a picnic basket! Andi was very close to all her many first cousins (32 at last count on the Marquez side alone). She was God mother to many.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Marsha & David Amick; children, Taylor (Theresa), Emmy Montoya, Casey Montoya; grandchildren, Florenzo, Meridian, Pavio, Scarlett, Hazel, Angel, Janelle and Victor; her niece Kristin (Hans) Schmidt; great nieces and nephews and a great great grand niece and nephew; aunt, Barbara Hendrix and Uncle, Tom Marquez.
Andi went into the arms of the Lord on June 12, 2022.
Memorial Mass for Andi will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street, Thornton, CO 80229 on Tuesday, June 21 at 11:00am. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30am. Reception will follow services.
