Ms Andree Kim-Lien BuiVanTri is the second daughter in a family with six siblings. Born in September 21, 1934 in Laos, Ms Kim Lien spent her entire childhood in Laos and Thailand. In 1953, her whole family moved back to Saigon, Vietnam, and there she worked as an agent for National Central Bank of Vietnam until April 30, 1975. In 1983, Ms Kim Lien and her daughter's family were sponsored to immigrate to New Caledonia by her younger sister, Ms Kim Anh. In 1985, she moved to the United States under her other younger sister's sponsorship, Ms Kim Dung. In that same year, Ms Kim Lien accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and has always been a faithful member of Vietnamese Community Baptist Church '"" Aurora since. She retired in 1995 after her ten-years working for the Aurora Public Schools. After many years, she was grateful to finally reunited with her only daughter, Kim Loan, and her daughter's family. As walking with Jesus, her genuine love for Him was reflected through her example of living and her positive attitudes toward her family, friends, and other people around her. In her family, Ms Kim Lien was known by her grandchildren and other nieces and nephews as a loving grandmother and 'Aunty Ba'. She enjoyed cooking very much and often treated them with her delicious dishes. She liked shopping, traveling, and was always viewed as a neat woman with a good taste in fashion. Ms Kim Lien passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2006 and left behind great sorrow and sadness. Her leaving is a big loss for her family, her friends, and many of us; however, her spirit and legacy will forever live in Christ and in all of her loved ones.
