Andrew Thomas Antoldi, 82, passed away in his sleep on 1/12/19 in Lone Tree, CO. He was born on 7/6/36 in Brooklyn, NY to Frances Vitello and Charles Antoldi
Andrew is survived by his loving wife Maureen of 61 years and his children, Charlie Antoldi of Bremerton, WA, Maureen Lynch of Centennial, CO and Thomas Antoldi of Wichita, KS. Also 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Thomas, Mary and Elizabeth Lynch. Michael and Danielle Antoldi. Darien and Austin Antoldi.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Frances and Charles Antoldi of New York, NY and his sister Maria Locascio of Montauk, NY.
Andrew served 2 years in the United States Army as infantry, vehicle mechanic during the Korean War. He also served 6 years in the United States Army Reserve. Honorably discharged after faithful service to our nation.
Andrew had an entrepreneurial spirit and held various jobs while supporting his family. He worked for General Motors Corporation for many years and also owned his own taxi cab business along with a candy store/luncheonette. He also maintained several part time jobs serving as a waiter along with being a gym instructor.
He served his community and his church. He coached basketball, football and baseball, and also volunteered at various hospitals. He loved ushering at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church. He loved his faith, his family, and his beloved NY sports teams, especially the NY Knicks, NY Giants, Brooklyn Dodgers, and NY Mets. He also loved going to Belmont Racetrack in New York.
Andrew's compassionate, loving heart was larger than life and his outgoing personality made everyone feel loved and appreciated. He always made people laugh and feel lighter about life! Family was always first in Andy's life, he loved Jesus first, his wife, kids and grandchildren with all his heart! He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Visiation followed by Recitation of the Rosary on Wednesday, January 16, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80122
A Catholic funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 17 at 10 a.m. at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 2375 E. Arizona Ave, Denver, CO 80210
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado.
