Andrew John Dubois, 94, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday, August 17, 2018.
Andrew was born May 19, 1924 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in North Denver and lived in Arvada and Lakewood, Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and after completing his military service, attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, majoring in Chemical Engineering. After college, he worked in the printing industry as a commercial artist.
He was a member of the American Legion and the BPOE (Elks). He was also a member of the Printer's Union.
His passion was painting. He also loved to travel and was able to visit numerous international locations.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Dubois, his sister, Mary Kohout, daughter, Claudette M. Ferris, son, Mark A. Dubois, four (4) grandsons and four (4) great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine C. Dubois, his mother, father and two sisters.
Services will be held at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Home located at 3020 Federal Boulevard in Denver at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 22. Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:15 PM on the same day. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend.
