Andrew G. Keleher, longtime Denver resident, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015. He was born at his home in Denver on May 23, 1924. He graduated 8th Grade from Blessed Sacrament School, and continued in high school at Regis High School. After graduation from high school he went to Regis University where he earned a B.S. in Mathematics. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific Theater. He was involved in the Battles of Okinawa and Iwo Jima. He was awarded the Battle Star Okinawa and Battle Star Iwo Jima, Pacific Fleet. He separated from the Navy in 1946 and married Virginia Bender on September 12, 1947. He continued his education at Colorado School of Mines and graduated with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining Engineering. Andrew retired from Nalco Chemical Company in 1984. He enjoyed his retirement by fishing in Mexico, house boating at Lake Powell, and splitting his time between his homes in Denver, Colorado and Scottsdale, Arizona. Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, his parents Ruth and Leo Keleher, his sister Mary Voelkel, and his son Michael. He is survived by his four children Catherine Cook (Delos), Ann Dinsmore, Thomas Keleher, Edward Keleher (Toni), eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Visitation 6 to 7 PM followed by Recitation of the Rosary 7 PM Thursday, January 22 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Friday, Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 2250 S. Harrison St., Denver. Private Committal at a later date.
