Andrew ""Roo"" Michael Martinez

Andrew Michael Martinez, 23, of Bennett, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2016 after he was tragically murdered. He was born on May 13, 1993 to Kristi Lee (Krumrine) Rizo and from the age of 5 grew up with his sister Desarae and Brother Jordan in the home of Kristi's parents, Joseph and Karen Krumrine. He was active in cross country, the Colorado Rebels riding club where he was ""Mr. Horseman"" (the top horseman), and in 4H Equine club, where he achieved ""Mr. Wrangler"". He also excelled on the swim team in Canon City and became a certified lifeguard in 2010. After high school, Andrew joined the Army, then relocated to Texas where he worked for a short time as a corrections officer. He returned to Colorado where he resided with his parents Joseph and Karen until his passing. Andrew had a big heart for children, the elderly, and the down trodden. Though he did not have much, he would share with anyone in need. In addition to his birth mother Kristi, and her parents Joseph and Karen Krumrine, Andrew is survived by his siblings, Desarae, Jordan, and Josiah. A Visitation for Andrew will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at Horan & McConaty Heartlight Center, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00AM at Journey Church, 56000 E. Colfax Ave. Strasburg, CO 80136. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 6:00PM at St. Isadore Roman Catholic Church, 32100 E Colfax Ave, Watkins, CO 80137.
