Andy Gillis

Andrew "Andy" Gillis passed away on June 30, 2020. He was born in Denver, Colorado on May 7, 1994 and was welcomed by his delighted parents Patrick and Sheryl Gillis. Andy attended Sagebrush Elementary School and Denver Academy for middle school. Before earning his GED certification on January 15, 2020, Andy obtained his pet grooming license in the state of Colorado.

Andy struggled with life and addiction but always had a warm heart and wonderful smile. This compassion was expressed in his care for animals, small children, and special communication with the elderly. He will be fondly remembered for his laugh and animated humor.

Andy is survived by his parents Patrick and Sheryl, his brother Jeff and Brad, his birth family: Sage, Kim, Kasey, Brayden, Michael and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

At the family’s request in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Dumb Friends League Animal Shelter of Denver, or your favorite charity.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held on a later date at the Cremation Gardens on Parker Road and Dartmouth in Aurora, Colorado.
