Angel Dean Hoffman

Angel Dean Hoffman, age 6, of Broomfield, Colorado went to heaven Saturday, April 16, 2011 at The Children’s Hospital of Denver.

He was born in Cameron County, Texas on September 12, 2004. Angel attended kindergarten at Prairie Hills Elementary School in Thornton, Colorado. He loved to learn new things, numbers, letters, sounds and especially doing zoo phonics.

Angel had made many huge accomplishments throughout his short life. Angel had an uncanny ability to play music and had great rhythm. One of his latest accomplishments was learning to perform of the University of Wisconsin’s Badger fight song. He could play Mary Had a Little Lamb on the piano all by himself. He knew the music and words to only about one million songs. Angel’s favorite sports team was the Colorado Rockies. The word ‘Rockies’ was the very first word he learned to read. He loved singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

Angel loved animals. His favorites were Zebras and Penguins. He also loved his dogs, Luc, Seven, and Baron. They loved Angel as well, especially Luc. This was evident from Luc following him around the house, sleeping at the foot of his bed and the two of them stealing each others toys.

Angel is survived by his parents, Samantha and Christian Hoffman, grandparents Evelyn Hoffman of Broomfield, Colorado and Phyllis and Denny Elmore of Pana, Illinois. Angel also has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Illinois.

He is also survived by his previous foster parents, Ann and Don Nord, foster brothers and sister, Alyssa, Nathan, and Adam Nord and, foster grandmother, Paula Nord.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 12:00, Noon. The chapel is in the one story white building just south of the church.
