Angela Lea Hester

Angela Lea Hester Angela (also known as Angel, Angie) was born on Friday, May 13, 1966 in Denver, Colorado. She passed away October 15, 2015 at University Hospital with her entire family surrounding her. She is survived by her parents, Ed and Diana, her sister Renee (Denver) Hester-Musselman, Brother Eddie (Marci) Hester, Grandmother Carolee Hester, Nephews Tyler Hester, Bryce Horton and Niece Cassie Horton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She had many physical and developmental disabilities that presented her parents, Ed and Diana with numerous challenges about her care. She resided at Wheat Ridge Regional Center for approximately 35 years where she went on many outings and even participated in Special Olympics when she was on Cherub house where she ran as Cherub's flying angel with the help of her parents. She then moved to Ash House in Centennial for 4 years. She was a light to all who knew her and had a gentle spirit and loving nature. Her quality of life was enhanced by her therapists and caregivers. She loved swimming in a warm water pool, rafting, riding in a speedboat and above all, riding therapy horses. Her favorite horse was Blue at Praying Hands Ranch and they had a special relationship. You could see happiness in Angela's eyes when she would mount Blue and ride him up and down hills and around the arena. Her parents took her home frequently where she rocked in her chair and held her stuffed animals. Angela loved going for rides in the mountains where she would see deer or elk. She loved being around water whether in a pool or just playing in the sink. She was in a potted plant project at Ridge Home where she planted a Christmas cactus which still blooms at Ed and Diana's house. Angela impacted so many lives with her calm, loving personality. Her family included her in all the family events. Anyone who knew our family was aware we had a Special Needs daughter, sister or aunt. She will forever be missed by her family. Angels are now smiling on her. Funeral Service is Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Littleton, CO.
