Angela Joy Scarim (Vaughan) passed away at the age of 67 on November 2, 2024 in Arvada, Colorado.
Angela was born on May 30, 1957 in Rockford, Illinois. She graduated from Gilford High School (1975) and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a Master's in Education from Eastern Illinois University.
Angela and her husband of 43 years raised their children in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Angela dedicated over 35 years to educating young minds in Illinois holding positions in both special education and elementary education.
Angela was the beloved wife of Joseph Scarim and a cherished mother to Sara Elizabeth, Anthony Vaughan, and Joseph Anthony III. She is survived by her husband and children, her sister Diane (Heinkel) and brother Steven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara Jane Vaughan (Turiciano) and Walter Eugene Vaughan.
Angela's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession, leaving a lasting impact on all the lives she touched. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, colleagues, and the students she guided throughout her distinguished career. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
