Age 90, of Denver, passed away March 15, 2018. Angelo grew up in Cleveland and attended Catholic schools. He joined the Air Force in 1946 and served one tour at Lowry AFB. He earned the Victory Medal for service during WWII. While an airman, Angelo married Mabel Fernandez in 1948, and the couple had one son, Michael Joseph. He enjoyed a long career as a wholesale hardware salesman at Blish-Mize out of Atchison, Kansas. After 9 years as a fulltime caregiver for Mabel, he went back to work at McGuckin Hardware in Boulder, CO, and worked there until his retirement at age 87. Aside from loving work, Angelo was a devout member of All Saints Catholic Church. And his favorite pastime was anything to do with sports at all levels, playing, coaching, and spectating. Angelo was preceeded in death by his wife, Mabel, parents Joseph and Maria Lopiccolo, his brother Sam, and sisters Rose and Anna Marie. He is survived by his son, Michael, daughter-in-law Kim, grandson Anthony and his wife, Melanie, grandson Joseph and his wife, Anna, and five great-grandchildren, Julia, Kiara, Owen, Gianna, and Rebecca. Recitation of the Rosary is Sunday March 18, 2018 at 4:00pm, Funeral Mass is Monday March 19, 2018 10:00am at All Saints Catholic Church, 2559 S. Federal Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80219.
