Ann Bartley

Ann Bartley was born in Lincoln, Kansas on January 6, 1924, to Sarah Jennings and Arthur Meredith.  She joined the Cadet Nurse Corps upon entering St. Francis School of Nursing at 18 years old after graduating from Lincoln High School.  She received her RN and began her nursing career in California.  Later, she moved on to Denver and continued nursing in various medical centers.  Ann spent the majority of her career which spanned over 50 years, at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, retiring in 1990.

Ann met Joseph Bartley in Denver and the pair married in June of 1948.  They traveled with the Air Force and finally settled in Denver in 1960.

She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed golf and bowling, travel, and antiquing.  Ann and Joe belonged to a tight group of friends who travelled extensively together, cheered on the Broncos, even had a horse drawn wagon in the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade for over 10 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.  She is survived by her beloved sister Virginia, daughters Jean, Jan, and Theresa, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Rosary, followed by a Memorial Mass, to begin at 9:30am on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan Street Denver, CO 80203. Reception to follow at 12pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80246. Graveside at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "A" at 2pm.
