Ann M. Gossanyi

March 17, 1938 — April 17, 2019

Ann M. Gossanyi of Littleton, CO, wife of J. E. (Jules) Gossanyi, mother of Eric (predeceased) and Karen, passed away peacefully at home on April 17th, 2019.

Ann was born on March 17th of 1938 to Jerome and Pauline Steckline of Brighton Colorado. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1958 and enrolled in Parks Business College. Following, Ann became an administrative assistant for the Colorado Air National Guard. Not long after however, she would relocate to New Jersey while continuing her career with the Air National Guard. During this time Ann would meet her husband Jules Gossanyi. They were married January 13th of 1962. Later they welcomed their first child, Eric, into the world on the first of February of 1963. Soon after, the growing family would move to Brighton Colorado, and would bring their daughter Karen into the world on March 9th. Once again, they lifted roots and headed to southwest Denver. During this time, Ann joined Avon as a sales representative and distributor, climbing the ranks and achieving President's Club status. Ann enjoyed her interactions with her customers and developed many lasting friendships during her time with the company. In August of 1979, the family once again relocated to Littleton Colorado, where they would finally settle down. As the neighborhood, Governor's Ranch continued to grow, Ann became instrumental in establishing committees and social activities with their community. Ann loved to entertain and would host many parties, remarking on many of those occasions with her byword, ""the more, the merrier,"". She loved the culinary arts, and was the best non-Italian Italian cook west of the Mississippi River. Through her love of cooking, Ann extended her skills to baking, such as taking cake decorating classes and giving her children wonderful birthday cakes. However, her passion didn't stop with hosting fantastic events, or cooking delicious foods, but flooded over to her children's lives. Prior to moving to Littleton, Ann volunteered with the local school districts where her children attended school, and assisted educators in the classroom, participated in parent teacher conferences, and was thoroughly involved PTA meetings. In moments that Ann was able to have some time to herself, she read voraciously, and has even been seen reading while cooking.

Throughout her lifetime, Ann has cultivated many friendships, from childhood, to present, and has been a guiding hand to her family and those around her. She will be deeply missed. Ann is survived by her husband, Jules Gossanyi; daughter, Karen; grandchildren, Joshua, Eduard, Alexandria, Kaitlin, Faith; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Phoebe, and another great-grandson on the way in August.

A memorial service for Ann will be held at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church on May 28th, at 10:30am, located at 10316 West Bowles Avenue, Littleton CO 80127.
