Ann Koropsak had many amazing qualities that made her stand away from most women. No one left her house hungry or cold. Her pantry was always stocked and there was always coffee ready to be brewed. When any of her family was coming, she made sure that everyone's favorite food was made. But it was not only through food that she showed her love and her very giving heart. She volunteered through her church visiting the sick in the hospital and taught English as a secondary language. While my grandfather was away at WWII, the Korean War and the Viet Nam war, my grandmother raised four children when being a single mother was not common. She told stories so well that you were right there beside her. Having a strict code sometimes made life difficult. However, with great effort she was able rise to the challenges that were given to her. When all taken together, Ann Koropsak was always there, ready to share her kitchen, stories and most of all her love.
