Ann Gracey Meloy

Ann Gracey Meloy, 78, of Denver, Colorado died in her sleep of heart complications on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Ann Meloy was born on February 29, 1932 in Cherokee, Iowa, a daughter of Edith Gracey Meloy and Charles Daniel Meloy. She graduated from Wilson High School in Cherokee in 1950. Ann received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1954 where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. In her professional life Ann worked as an executive administrator for Robert Haynie until her retirement. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Chapter EE of PEO and the DAR. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia M. and David C. Ivie, nine nieces and nephews and eleven grand nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Charles F. and Doris A. Meloy. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, May 5, 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 830 Elm Street, Denver. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, Iowa.
