Anna Marie Cassidy, 87, of Denver passed away on November 6, 2018. Anna was born on August 9, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Witkiewicz) Andres. She moved with her husband, Tom, and their 2 oldest children to Denver in 1956 after Tom was discharged from the Air Force.
Anna worked as a homemaker and, after her children had grown, went to work for the Talbert insurance agency in downtown Denver. With the only car in the family being driven by her husband to the Martin Marietta Waterton plant, she took the bus from her Englewood home every day.
She was actively involved in her church for many years and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and baking for her family. Her Sunday roasts were a specialty as were the dozens of pies, birthday cakes, and the cookies, date bars, and cherry-go-rounds she made for the Christmas season. She liked walking, the outdoors, and particularly loved bird watching. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus.
She is survived by her children, David, Valerie, Thomas Jr., Robert, and James, also brothers Joe, John, and Anthony Andres. Anna has 3 grandchildren, Jonathan (Regina), Tiffany, and Jennifer (Nate), and 6 great grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb, Zoe, Josiah, Jaxon, and Axel.
Memorial donations may be made in Anna's name to Wellspring Church, 4300 South Lincoln Street, Englewood, CO 80113.
