Anna Palate Vea

March 8, 1939 — January 22, 2016

Anna Palate Vea, 76, passed away suddenly in Aurora, Colorado. She was born March 8, 1939 in Ha'alaufuli, Tonga to Misi Palate and Pualo'I Lokoili Lavulavu Saulala. She had a wonderful childhood growing up on the islands. She married the love of her life, Simote Vea, on December 1st, 1959. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Hawaii due to her husband's calling as a labor missionary. In 1975 they moved with their four children to San Mateo, California. They later moved to Los Angeles, California where she enjoyed serving as the Relief Society President in a Tongan Ward. In 1985 Anna and her family moved to Utah. They then came to Aurora in 1991 where she resided until her passing. In her 76 years of her life she was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. She was hard working and loved to stay active, even after her retirement. She enjoyed traveling when she could and she had a passion for sewing. Her family were the center of her heart. Anna was loved by many and will be missed very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only sibling and two of her granddaughters.
