Annalynn Thompson

Annalynn Thompson of Colorado Springs passed away due to complications of multiple myeloma while surrounded by family on July 14, 2022. Annalynn was born in Chicago, IL on August 22, 1946 to her parents Lincoln K and Anna E Nelson. She was married to her lifelong sweetheart William C. Thompson for 51 years until he passed away in 2017. She was predeceased by her half-brother James and brother Jerry.

She is survived by her daughter Suzette Farrar (Rob), their sons Daniel and Lewis (Chantelle), her son Michael (Alicia) and their daughter Zaya, her sister Valorie Gathright (Gordon), nephews: Jeffrey Nelson, Nolan and Russel Gathright and nieces: Jessica Nelson, Katie and Kelley Gathright, Jenny Baker and Amy Vankooten.

Annalynn and Bill lived in Woodland Park for 41 years moving to Colorado Springs in 2013. Annalynn worked with a number of physicians throughout her 35-year career starting in the front office, and later as a technician and manager. She never shied away from a new challenge. She became an EMT and taught CPR and Winter Emergency Care classes. She joined the National Ski Patrol in 1983 starting at the Pikes Peak Ski Area then moving on to Ski Cooper and Breckenridge serving for 28 years. Her hobbies included camping, 4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking and gardening. We cherish our memories of Annalynn and we celebrate her adventurous spirit, outgoing personality and love of her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 2pm at Horan & McConaty – 5303 East County Line Road (West of Holly Street) Centennial, CO 80122.
