Anne B. Guenther, a resident of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, for over fifty years, recently passed away in Morrison, Colorado, on July 24, 2018. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois, June 25, 1923, the daughter of Daniel Blazevich and Petronila (nee Crnich). She was a 1941 graduate of Waukegan Township High School where she was an editor of both the school newspaper and yearbook. She married Dr. Frank C. Guenther in 1943, and for over fifty years facilitated the monthly Glen Ellyn Maple Street Bridge Club.
Her husband, Frank, preceded her in passing, as did her brother Mike Babich and two sisters, Jenny Katalinich, and Rose Ogrin, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Guenther. Also preceding her in death were six brothers-in-law, James Guenther, Robert Guenther, Donald Guenther, William Guenther, Dick Peterson, and Michael Butera. She is survived by her two sons, Dan (Cheryl) Guenther of Morrison, Colorado, and James (Josephine) of Wheaton, Illinois, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Irene Lubeck, of Silver Lake, Wisconsin, sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Babich, Vernon hills, Illinois, Holly Vanderworst, New Braunfels, Texas, Connie Peterson, Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, and Ruth Butera, Phoenix, Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews and their extended families.
A Memorial Service will be held in Wheaton, IL at a later date.
