Annette Marie McKiney, 76, of Colorado Springs passed away on May 31st, 2022, at home. Born on January 2nd, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Phillip and Mary Lou (Milano) Rotello.
Annette worked as a Medical Assistant within a practice caring for geriatric patients and, later in her career track, as a Security Officer for a correctional facility where she assisted individuals with rehabilitation for re-entry into the community.
She enjoyed gambling, watching game shows, bead painting, cleaning the house, and spending time with family sharing stories.
She will be remembered for her Italian cooking, feistiness, singing and playing bass with Roy Clark, and her devotion to the Catholic faith.
Annette is survived by her daughters Jodi McKiney and Kim (Bill) Lopez, her grandchildren Audrey Roberts, Khayman Lopez, Thomas Banks, Sophia Lopez, Jovani Banks, and her great grandchildren Carter Banks and Danii Banks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) McKiney and sister, Madeline Rotello.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday June 28th, 2022 between 5pm and 7pm at Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. On June 29th, a Rosary will be held at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30am also at Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. Entombment will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard (Funeral Entrance), Denver, CO 80236 at 1:00pm.
