Annette ""Net"" Marie Wittig June 21, 1940-May 14, 2014 Annette ""Net"" Marie Wittig, 73, born June 21, 1940 in Denver, CO and passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on May 14, 2014 in Edgewater, CO. Annette was an avid sports fan, having been a Broncos season ticket owner since the late 1960's. She also enjoyed watching Rockies, Avalanche and Nuggets. She had pride in her community and was involved in the founding member of the Edgewater Horseshoe Club, Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary just to name a few. After her retirement from JCPenney she and her husband traveled extensively. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting historical site in the US and Germany. However, her greatest love was for her family, kind hearted and enchanting she showed her daughters to nurture and care for their own families. She adored her grandchildren and was a devoted friend to many. Survived by daughters Caryn (Paul) Thomas, Wendy (Jerry) Jones, Penny (Anthony) Harlow; grandchildren Phillip, Samantha, Nashwa; sisters Virginia Flis, Patricia Schamp, Eloise Hirsch; brother Walter Rapue; Sister in laws; Charlene Holt, Norma Timmons; numerous nieces & nephews who she loved dearly. Preceded in death by Father George J Rapue, Mother Mary Messaros Rapue, husband Martin L. Wittig, Brothers, George, Daniel, Paul, Thomas, Richard, Marvin and Sister-in-Law Annette Wittig Koch. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, starting at 6:00-8:00 PM at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 22, 2014 at 12:30 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard. The Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
