Annie Slonaker

With a shattered heart I have to let our friends know that Annie has passed away. In March of 2022 we discovered Annie had liver disease. After months of hospital stays doctor visits and fighting as hard as we could… we lost the battle.

Annie was a very kind and warm soul, a true spitfire and regardless of what kind of adventures we’d find ourselves in we were always just like two big kids having the time of our lives. Whether it was playing at the zoo, hitting up a casino or  just hanging with friends, Annie always lit up the place with her humor and personality. I knew the minute those eyes twinkled it would be forever. We were together 20 yrs and married for 8 yrs. During that time we had two crazy kitties, Steve and Gracie who will be waiting for her at the rainbow bridge. Annie and I just liked being together and I was a very lucky guy to have her as my wife. She was the love of my life, creative inspiration and my world. I’m truly broken to have lost her but will carry her in my heart forever.

We decided long ago we would not have a funeral or viewing. Annie will be laid to rest at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cumberland MD. If you wish to honor her just make a donation to your local zoo, animal shelter or animal hospital as we’ve always done that thru our love for animals.
