Anthony Adam Barkauskas

Anthony Adam Barkauskas, 90, beloved husband of the late Dorie Jean (Robertson) Barkauskas, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at home in Denver, CO.

Anthony was born on March 28th, 1930, in Waterbury, CT., the son of the late Anthony and Ella (Jenusaitis) Barkauskas. He was raised and educated in Waterbury, CT. After graduating from Marianapolis Academy he attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut. Anthony subsequently went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S Army.

He moved to Denver, CO in 1956 and married Dorie in 1957. He started work in the Aerospace industry with the Glenn L. Martin Company in 1955 and retired with the Martin Marietta Corporation in 1992 (now Lockheed Martin). During his career he supervised digital and analogue computing engineers who supported titan missile, Skylab, and peacekeeper projects.

Anthony was known for his optimism and intelligence, most of all he was known for caring for his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Anthony is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Dorie Barkauskas (passed March 2nd, 2020).

He is survived by daughter Katherine Barkauskas and grandson Jason Barkauskas; daughter Ramona Barkauskas and granddaughter Johanna Pearsall; and sister Eleanor Barkauskas of Waterbury, CT.

At a future date Anthony will be buried, together with Dorie, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver,CO.
