Anthony Canino

April 7, 1924 — February 10, 2021

Commerce City

Anthony Joseph Canino passed away peacefully at the age of 96, surrounded by his family.  Although his heart was young his mind and body finally succumbed to old age.

He was born April 7th, 1924, in Denver. Being a true Italian, his faith and family ruled his world. His heart never left North Denver and Our Lady of Mt Carmel was his constant light.

His working years consisted of 30+ years in the television industry and finally retired from Channel 9.  He was proud to have written a book of his life, which was published when he was 90 years old. Outside work Anthony coached youth baseball for many years, enjoyed Golf with his family, trips to Vegas, and a good cigar.  He will always be remembered for being impeccably dressed down to his hats, ties and shoes. His class was immeasurable.

Anthony was a wonderful husband to Betty for 54 years, an amazing father to Linda (Doug) Wilder, Greg (Gina) Canino, Gina (Norbert) Kemper and Russell Canino.  The family grew and he is survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, whom he cherished.

He was preceded in Death by his wife Betty, a beautiful grand daughter Lena, a son-in-law Doug Wilder, his parents, and all his siblings.  As the last of his generation, he will be greeted in Heaven by many loved ones.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Anthony has left behind a legacy for the Canino name that will live on forever.

FOREVER TOUCH
Each life leaves unique legacy
Embossed upon our hearts
A touch that lingers on and on
When time has come to part
Memories like fingerprints
Leave a special place
Knitted to the people
That time cannot erase
They live forever in our hearts
As time continues on
In memories of days gone by
We still shared a special bond
That bond cannot be broken
Even death can’t separate
A touch that lives forever
Time cannot erase.
