Anthony Dee ""Tony"" Gallup left us June 2, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tony was born June 11, 1975 in Logan, UT to Roger and Ronda Gallup. Tony graduated from Arvada West High School in 1993, then attended Weber State University for a short while, mainly playing volleyball as often as possible. He then moved on to Platt College, obtaining an Associates Degree in Graphic Arts. After a few years, Tony moved to Utah where he met Kimberly Parkin. They were married in March, 2000. They lived in Utah and Colorado, where they added three children to their family; Parker, Avery, and Kyson. Tony and Kimberly were divorced in 2010, but continued to be very good friends. Tony moved back and forth between Utah and Colorado, working in different industries and types of jobs. He loved working wherever he could meet new people and share his awesome smile. Tony loved family. He was an affectionate, loving child, but tested his parents' boundaries many times. His sisters were easy teasing targets, but he loved them fiercely. Tony especially loved his children; playing video games with them, taking them to movies, chasing them around the house with Nerf guns, and hugging them as often as possible. He tried to attend any family function, loving his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Tony greeted everyone he knew with a smile and a handshake or hug. His hugs were the best! He even sometimes hugged those not necessarily expecting a hug, loving the awkward responses. He made friends everywhere he went, never meeting a stranger; making conversation in grocery lines, on elevators, and any public gathering. Tony loved playing volleyball, softball, hockey, eating anything with bacon, and was fanatical about pastries, especially german chocolate danish and cream-filled long johns. He was quick with a smart remark, loved laughing, telling jokes, and scaring people. His great smile and warm hugs will be missed. During the last few years of Tony's life, he had a myriad of personal struggles that he was unable to overcome. He had many friends that tried to help him. He had amazing support from family and co-workers, all hoping to make a difference to pull him through his trials. This last year he was fortunate enough to get re-acquainted with Angela Kula, whom he loved very much. Angela was Tony's anchor these last few months. Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents (Blaine and Minnie Gallup), his maternal grandfather (Ronald Cozzens), cousins JayDee Blackburn and Dan Nabors, and uncle Stephen Gallup. He is survived by his parents, Roger and Ronda Gallup, siblings Jennifer Gallup (Matthew White), Miranda (Philip) Heavener, and Christine Gallup, his children Parker, Avery, and Kyson. He is also survived by his grandmother, Glenna Cozzens, and many aunts, uncles, a niece and nephews, cousins, and loving friends. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Memorial Fund for Tony Gallup at Wells Fargo Bank. This fund is for the benefit of Tony's children. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 6PM - 8PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015, 11AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3501 Summit Grove Parkway, Thornton, Colorado. Interment will be at Louisville Cemetery.
