Antonia ""Toni"" Marie Johnson, 90 years of age, died peacefully on November 2, 2011 at 1:00pm. Born November 16, 1920 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Stefan and Frances Kovacik (Struhar). Mother of Julie (Jerry) Salazar, Janet Aleksiewicz, Gloria (Pete) George, Sandy Johnson, Danny Johnson. Grandmother of Jason (Elva) Salazar, Jerome (Victoria) Salazar, Jayme Salazar, Erik ""Bo"" Aleksiewicz, Kacie Aleksiewicz, Ryan George, Austin George. Great-grandmother of Jonathan Salazar, Jaeley Salazar, Marissa Johnson, Nathan Johnson, JaNiyla Salazar, Jeremiah Salazar, Trinity Salazar, Stacia Martinez. Her strong will and love will be missed by her family and friends. Antonia was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Czechoslovakian immigrants Stefan and Frances Kovacik. She was raised on a farm in Wisconsin with her three siblings Millie, John, and Ann who are now deceased. She was married and had five children. Antonia and her family moved from Racine, Wisconsin to Aurora, Colorado in 1969 and later divorced. She worked hard to raise her five children on her own. The reason she lived so long is because she helped in the care of raising her Grandchildren. She loved each of her children and grandchildren unconditionally and as individuals. We will miss her feisty manner, strong will, and most of all her love. A Funeral Mass for Antonia will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 East Kentucky Avenue, Aurora, Colorado. Donations in honor of Antonia are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, 650 S. Cherry St., Suite 435, Denver, CO 80246.
