Our mother, Antonia Williams, affectionately known by her family as Antoinette, was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was the second oldest of four children born to Macon and Antonio Leon on April 24, 1929. She achieved great success at Englewood High School in Chicago, where she was involved in various clubs and activities. In 1949, Antonia met a handsome young man named Walter Dale Williams. Their love blossomed and they were married in a beautiful June wedding. Of this union were born three children; Walter Dale, Jr., Robin, and Rhonda. Antonia was very outgoing and sociable. She loved to dance and exercise and enjoyed music and the arts. She also played piano and sang. She was heavily involved in school activities with her children, serving on the PTA board and organizing fund raisers and field trips. She was also involved in neighborhood ladies clubs that focused on organizing various community events. She and her sister were very close and although Antonia was the younger sister, she is remembered by her sister Carolyn, as being ""always the Mom."" With her protective and nurturing spirit, she had the eye of an eagle and a heart of gold. Always looking out for her siblings and helping to keep everything peacefully balanced. Antonia was fun to be around with a smile that would light up the darkest room accompanied with a sense of ""quick wit"" that would bring you to tears with laughter. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Juan Raphael Leon and Jose Miguel Leon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Carolyn Trinidad Pierson (Frank) Chicago, Illinois; her children, Walter Dale Williams, Jr., (Pamela) Aurora, Colorado; Robin Annette Love, Orlando, Florida and Rhonda Anita Harris, Hot Springs, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. On Monday, September 15, 2015, Antonia went peacefully to sleep, surrounded by her three children. We look forward to being reunited with her soon when the last trumpet shall sound. We love you Mommy, and miss you so very much. ""Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."" â Titus 2:13. We'll see you in the morning! The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.
