Ardith Elaine Rieke

Ardith Elaine Rieke, 85, passed on Oct. 12, 2008. Born in Sterling, Colo., June 22, 1923, she spent her childhood on a farm near Padroni, the daughter of Ray and Esther Rieke. She was a graduate of Colorado State College of Education (now University of Northern Colorado) and also a received master's degree from California's Berkeley Baptist Divinity School. She worked for Conoco Petroleum in Denver from 1952 until retiring in 1985. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Denver. She is survived by a sister, Jennevieve (and her husband, Tom) Wethington of Tucson, Ariz., and eight nieces and nephews. Memorial services are at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, Calvary Baptist Church. 655 E. Girard Ave., Denver. Internment is at 12:30 p.m., Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.
