Aristotle G. Kolias

Aristotle G. Kolias of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on September 3, 2023, surrounded by family.

‍Aristotle was born the youngest of four children to George and Paraskevi Kolias in Brooklyn, New York on December 1, 1936. In the mid-1940’s, he moved with his family to Denver, Colorado where he spent the majority of his life. After graduating from East High School in 1954, Aristotle went on to study accounting at Metropolitan State University of Denver. In 1960, Aristotle married Antoinette Lombardo and they had two children, Stephen and Theresa. In 1982, he found the love of his life and married Theodora Petrakou-Kases. Aristotle worked as a manufacturers representative and traveled throughout Colorado and the Midwest until he retired. Aristotle enjoyed spending time with family, playing blackjack, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling. 

Aristotle was a wonderful, loving, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Theodora Kolias, son, Stephen Kolias, daughter, Theresa Clark, three grandchildren, and former wife Antoinette Kolias.

Aristotle was loved and respected by many. He touched our hearts and we all are blessed and grateful for knowing and having this incredible man be a part of our lives.

Aristotle’s family will host a Visitation from 5-7:30pm with a Trisagion to begin at 7:30pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Horan & McConaty: 11150 E Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO. A Funeral Service will be held the following day, September 8, 2023, at 12pm at Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral: 4610 E Alameda Ave, Denver, CO. The Burial will take place on Saturday September 9, 2023 12:30pm at Fairmount Cemetery-Staging Area A: 430 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80247. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Aristotle’s name may be given to Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral https://www.assumptioncathedral.org/give-now or Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Boulder https://stspeterandpaulboulder.churchtrac.com/give
