Arlene Marie Van Horne

April 20, 1936 — October 13, 2019

Arlene Marie (Davis) Van Horne, age 83, died at The Village at Belmar in Lakewood, Colorado on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Born April 20, 1936 in Evanston Illinois, she lived her adult life in Colorado. She was a member of St. Anne's and Light of the World Catholic Churches. She attended Marquette University in Wisconsin and received an MBA from the University of Denver. Arlene had an extended career in the ski industry, promoting both the beauty of the Colorado mountains and the sport…an activity inherited by many. Her love of travel was boundless and inspired those near to her. She traveled to more than 100 countries…the more exotic the better! She loved dogs, chocolate and red wine, bridge, the Broncos, the New York Times crossword puzzle, Words with Friends, Netflix and was a voracious reader. She loved her friends and family immensely.

Survivors include her children, Laura Mildenberger, Cynthia Van Horne (Lee Spinks), Susan Van Horne, Michael Van Horne (Kris Ramer), and Ann Van Horne (Javier Del Castillo); her grandchildren, Kristen, Andrew, Sofia, Isabella and Fletcher; her sister Marge (Dick), brother Ken (Lori), many nieces and nephews and many life-long wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Otis ""Mac"" Davis and Apolonia (Schaefges), her brother ""Uncle Bill"" and her beautiful granddaughter Cassandra.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado 80227.
